| Mombacho is the highest mountain in the central part of the Pacific
Coast. The peak is 1345 meters above sea level. The accessible parts are up to
1200 m The peaks are declared Natural Reserve and are covered by an
almost virgin cloud forest of high biological interest.
The volcano is open for individual visitors from Thursday through Sunday. If
you do not have a 4x4 jeep to get up by your own, the park offers transportation in lorries.
You can also sleep in the center on the top, but beforehand reservation is needed.
