Masatepe

Masatepe is a peaceful, but dynamic town with a good deal of social and cultural life. The basis of the economy is the multiple carpenter workshops and other small businesses. This leads to a more equal society than in many other parts of Nicaragua, and Central America, and most of the restaurants and other services are designed for common people from the town - not for a little upper class, nor for the tourists.
