Granada is the oldest colonial city founded in Central America. Is is
is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nicaragua and the
Nicaraguan town with the highest number of foreigners living. It
makes a nice day trip from Flor de Pochote, about 35 km away. |

Mi Museo, Colección Granada
In the middle of Granada is the little museum Mi Museo, that houses a
beautifull collection of pre-columbian cheramics from the whole period
between 2000 BC and 1550 AD. The museum is founded and run by the Dane
Peter Kolind with the intention of preserving the cultural heritage that
lies at the source of what it means to be Nicaraguan. Read more at

Learning Spanish
We have an agreement of cooperation with the Spanish school 'Ave
Nicaragüita', which is located in Granada. Sometimes they bring
their students to Flor de Pochote to give them practical training in
