Why Ecotourism?
| Without doubt tourism is represents an important
opportunity to increase the income of poor countries. But there are
many ways to take advantage of tourism. For us tourism
must be developed together with the local people, who are the creators
of the pretty cultural landscape that surround us. To achieve this, we have chosen ecotourism as our concept. Ecotourism is
defined as responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the
environment and improves the well-being of local people. (cited from

The use of the word ecotourism in our name and promotion
means to us a clear commitment, which we try to comply as follows:
- Organic farming avoiding chemical pesticides and fertilizers
- Composting system to recycle garbage
- A high rate of tree coverage, but not to a degree where the herbs will
be eliminated by shading, as that might cause erosion.
- The excursions to natural areas are coordinated with the
authorities of the National Park, to avoid negative impacts on
environment.
- Employment mainly of people from the local community
- Stimulating the community to offer services to the tourists (horse
riding, accomodation, etc.) giving ideas, helping with promotion and
by contracting their services.
