To Flor de Pochote by car
| Finding your way from Masatepe to Flor de Pochote is rather easy.
Once you meet the right entrance to Masatepe, just follow the
same road 5 kilometers, until our signboards show you where to turn.

assure you are on the right way, observe along the route:
- The central park at your left and the main church to the right.
- A little bridge with yellow walls, which you pass , when you
leave town.
- A nice view with the Masaya volcano to the left, and the Masaya
lagoon to the right, as you drive above a ridge.
- A gravel pit to your left, when descending the ridge.

Entering from East (Masaya-Catarina-Granada):
Masatepe begins when you se a PETRONIC petrol station to your left.
(The milestones will count down to 50 km)
About 100 m after the Petronic (at a square), there is a little shop called
3X to the right.
Here turn right and go ahead as explained above.
Entering from the West (San Marcos-Jinotepe-Carretera sur)
Masatepe is at the 49 km milestone.
You easily identify the Shell petrol station to your right.
300 m ahead, still to your right, you se the former railway station - now a
furniture store.
This is followed by the 'city road cross', here you still go ahead as you
are on the right road described above. |

the hill, turn left. |

Take the road towards San Marcos. In San Marcos turn
right after the church (you will pass behind it). |

After Nandaime, at the 66 km milestone, turn right
towards Granada. After 10 km (km 49!) in the Guanacaste road cross,
turn left and go uphill to Catarina. In Catarina (after the pretty

Do not enter Managua! Arriving at Managua follow the
'Carretera sur' towards Jinotepe. En 'Las Esquinas' about 35 km South
of Managua, turn left to San Marcos. Pass straight through San Marcos towards
Masatepe. |
