| From anywhere: First take a bus to Masatepe, then a 'motor taxi' to Flor de Pochote.
Price for the motortaxi is about 25 cordobas, it takes about 15 minutes.
If the driver doesn't know our
center, ask him to travel north through Masatepe. From here there are sign
boards.
If you need further directions, or have difficulties finding us, do not hesitate to call.
From Managua
Common (slow) buses leave to Masatepe every hour from the
Roberto Huembes Market. |
 |
| These buses are a little cheaper and have more space for luggage. The ride
takes 70-90 minutes. There are Express - mini buses
to Masatepe from two terminals:
Roberto Huembes
Market every 10 minutes
Israel Lewites Market every 20 minutes
The minibuses drive faster - some times too fast - and do the trip in
an hour or less.
The busses travel until about 7.00 p.m., but if possible plan to
departure before 4.00 p.m.
as the busses will be crowded at the end of the afternoon.

From Jinotepe and Diriamba
There are frequent direct buses to Masatepe.
You can also use the buses towards Masaya. These will not enter Masatepe
though,
so you must exit at the entrance to the city and catch a motortaxi from
here.
From Masaya
At the popular market you will find a broad selection of buses which
should match your needs. You may even find a direct bus to Flor de Pochote
(the signboard should say La Sabanita - Masatepe). But the market is chaotic,
the timetables irregular and the buses rather slow, as their clients
mainly
are local tradesmen who may bring big baskets.
|
 |
| Therefore we recommend another
solution: Take a taxi or cab to the Southern higway-connexion ('Salida
a Catarina'). Here you step on the buses from Managua to Masatepe, which
are more frequent, and generally faster.
|
From Granada
Some of the Granada-Jinotepe busses passes Masatepe, but not all. Make
sure what route your bus travels. (Avoid buses passing Nandaime).
Another possibility: Take a bus to Managua, get
of at the entrance to Masaya in the new 'Las
Flores Rotonda', and catch a bus for Masatepe from here.
