How to get to Flor de Pochote
Flor de Pochote is located 4 km from Masatepe in a community called
El Pochote.
The access road is paved, and any car in good condition arrive from the
Managua/Granada/Carazo area in 60-90 minutes.
| If you move in an ox barrel, Flor de Pochote
has a very central location, at an important cross road for
travelers between the towns Masatepe, Masaya, Nindirí and La
Concepción. Unfortunately the railroad, and later busses and cars took
over, and found their own tracks, and many of our best entrances
suffer from lack of maintenance - and are now best suited for hiking.
But there are other options, as the road from Masatepe was paved
a
few years ago, and the pavement has stimulated the increase of buses
and motorbike taxis.
